Leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Bots with Quick Base

We just came back from another amazing week at Empower. Because we know some of you couldn’t attend, we thought we’d share one of the presentations we gave there. As you no doubt gathered from the title of this blog, it centered around artificial intelligence (AI) and incorporating bots with Quick Base. The results have been astounding and the reception at Empower was amazing. Enjoy!VS_TyBot

We started off the presentation by laying the groundwork that VeilSun has always prided ourselves on being a one-stop shop for whatever our clients need. We design, build, extend, and manage and enhance. Because we do so much, it’s allowed us to embrace new technologies as they come up. The latest is AI that we call VeilBot—artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven chat bots that superpower Quick Base.

This is important because it’s clear that AI and Chatbots are the future. In fact, 95% of content management professionals say their employers will adopt chatbots by EOY 2020, with 35% targeted at support, 30% targeted at guided customer journeys, and 35% targeted at both. Perhaps even more telling is that 50% plan to launch a chatbot in the next 6 months. The need to start embracing and implementing these technologies is now.

Next, we gave a quick pop quiz on the definitions of artificial intelligence, machine learning and bots to make sure everyone was on the same page. For the record, we defined artificial intelligence as computer systems that are able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages. We defined machine learning as an application of artificial intelligence (AI) that provides systems the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience without being explicitly programmed. And we defined a bot as a computer program designed to simulate conversation with human users, especially over the Internet.

With those terms established, we then were able to get to the crux of the presentation: that Quick Base and AI/Bots are a match made in heaven. When you combine Quick Base’s Process Automation, Secure Database and Analytics along with AI/Bots’ User Experience, Natural Communication, More info with less, and acting as a Trigger for powerful backend workflow, you get results. The top three we highlighted were: Better Adoption, Game Changing Workflows, and Competitive Advantage.

We concluded the presentation by talking about real-world applications. (After all, if you can’t make it work in the real world, what’s the point?) We showed how AI/chatbots can work in practical settings like Sales, Support, Image recognition, AI Driven scheduling, Quick Base language translation and Prospect research. The possibilities are endless—and endlessly fascinating.
